Be Inspired: Robin
It always fascinates me how inquisitive my son is. As most 4 year olds do, he asks questions about everything. It is so easy to forget the simplest things in life and not really take the time to slow down and notice what is right in front of you. This month, I want to share with you a color palette inspired by one of the most common (overlooked) birds in Ohio, the Robin. My son and I discovered a robin was building a nest in our tree. We spent the next few weeks watching the parents build the nest and caring for the eggs until there were 3 little orange beaks popping up begging for food. While my son learned about robins and experienced the habits of the birds for the first time....I learned to open my eyes a bit more to what is right in front of me. The robin truly is a beautiful bird. The colors of their feathers and eggs are a striking color combination...I was inspired!

At NeoCon this year, BuzziSpace showed a great product to use in a plethora of ways. This cube is lightweight and small enough to move around with ease. They are comfortable and stylish and come with a foam core covered in BuzziFabric which has sound-absorbing properties. We recently completed a corporate headquarters project, Dawson Resources, and incorporated some of these information break out areas. Pictured here are the BuzziSpace also has huddle rooms and area rugs...check out their website for some fun inspiration.
6. Residential Design: Be done with Beige. Don't live in a vanilla box with a fear of color. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and do what feels right. Designing with color is all about balance. These pictured living spaces show how to achieve interest in a space with a small pop of color.
7. Fashion: While I haven't always been someone to "fashion-watch," I do feel I gain a lot of inspiration from the fashion world. Trends in colors, vibrancy, texture and pattern in fashion can be a useful lens on other areas of design.
8. Sixinch: This line of furniture specializes in the design and manufacturing of high concept foam coated furniture. It can be used indoor or outdoor and has a wide range of applications and styles.
