M+A Architects is pleased to have been selected by the Career & Technology Education Centers of Licking County (C-TEC) for their project to design and construct a Net-Zero Energy Model Home on the C-TEC Campus in Newark, Ohio.  The design team for the project will also include Metro CD Engineering as the mechanical, electrical & plumbing engineer and Williams Creek Consulting as the site designer and civil engineer.

Net-Zero Energy takes a high-level of commitment from a building Owner as all of the building's energy is produced by on-site renewable energy sources such as solar, geothermal or wind. There are few buildings achieving net-zero energy across the country and only a handful in the State of Ohio.

This unique project not only involves a high level of sustainable design and documentation, but will also include curriculum development and training of the C-TEC instructors involved. At the conclusion of the project the instructors will have gained the knowledge and developed the curriculum necessary to be able to teach net-zero and sustainable principles to students moving forward.
