Earth Day is Friday, April 22nd!
Check out this great website for a list of some ways to get involved around town: www.lightenup2011.org/worksites
Then, come join the party on Saturday, 23 April! It's a festival celebrating Earth Day at Franklin Park Conservatory. There will be bands, educational information, kids activities, art work, food and drink. At the least, stop by the USGBC booth and say hi to M+A's Matt Canterbury.
Located on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus just outside of Franklin Park Conservatory, the Celebration is FREE and open to the public (whether or not you were able to volunteer at a worksite). If you were able to participate in an Earth Day 2011: Lighten Up worksite, be sure to bring your token and redeem it for a FREE scoop of Jeni's ice cream OR a FREE Columbus Brewing Company beer. (What's all this about freebies, you say? Click to see all the special benefits registered volunteers enjoy. And, if it's before April 15, you've still got time to sign up and get yours!).

Happy Earth Day, everyone!
