Exciting Project for the OSU Moritz College of Law
Finally the last area of Drinko Hall, the home of The Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law will be renovated starting this Fall. The Dinsmore & Shohl Student Commons project was made possible by the generosity of Moritz alumni at the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. Student and alumni alike are very excited for this new student lounge to be updated since this area is still original to the building which was built in 1959. As the rest of the building was renovated through the years around this area, the student lounge went from being a busy, gathering area to more of a storage and transition area where students would simply just drop off books and walk on through.
The project will involve updating the flooring, ceilings, utilities, mailboxes, furniture and lockers. M+A Architects will be doing the design and working with a committee of professors and students as well as the Associate and Assistant Deans. The goal will be to bring life back to this underutilized area with comfortable seating and updated finishes so that students will want to spend time socializing with other students and hanging out there.
The OSU Moritz College of Law made the announce of this project, which should be completed by the Fall of 2012, on their website and put together this Video Announcement:
