M+A Loses a Great Friend and Colleague: Mike Karpinski
On Saturday September 4th, M+A Architects lost a great friend. Mike Karpinski, 56, passed away at his home among family. Having spent 5+ years as an Associate Partner at M+A, Mike was best known for his ability to take a light hearted approach into difficult situations. Mike was well respected by everyone he worked with and was accepted by his clients as their friend. Mike practiced a fair amount of his projects focused in education and spiritual work. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church Men's Club, AIA, volunteer for CEFPI, former member of the Knights of Columbus and Ombudsman for Catholic Social Services. Mike's passion resonated with his clients, and was further seen in the quality of his work.
At M+A, Mike was considered family, and will be remembered for his candor and his dedication to the company. He was friend and advisor to everyone, being as quick to enjoy a laugh as to jump in and provide solutions to challenges. Whether there was a conversation about the latest educational trends, an opportunity to talk about his family - of whom he was very proud, or to share in stories of a new found wine or scotch; around M+A, Mike was always involved and will be greatly missed!
Should you choose, the Karpinski family has set up opportunities for donation as outlined in the following formal obituary. We all hold his family in our thoughts and prayers as we celebrate a life that will not be forgotten.
