Westerville Dept. of Public Service Getting Much Needed New Facility
A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for a new Public Service Facility for the City of Westerville. Very excited city council members as well as representative from the Department of Public Service were on hand to move some dirt on this very needed project.
Having undergone a considerable amount of growth in recent years, the City of Westerville, a northeastern suburb of Columbus, outgrew their public service facilities. For over two years, M+A Architects has been working with them to first assess their existing facilities and growing needs and to then devise a plan for how to renovate and expand their facilities on Park Meadow Road to meet their current needs and allow for future growth. The new facility will include administrative offices, locker rooms for all staff, a conference / training room and storage as well as a 23,500 sf vehicle and equipment garage and 2,000 sf two story wash bay.
Construction begins this week by Miles McClellen Construction Company.
